Project Description:
The general scope of work for this project includes the following:
Construction of two (2) new horizontal submersible axial flow pumps that will recycle flow from compartment 6 to compartment 1 for Aeration Basins 3 and 4. Work shall include core drilling and installing a 16” steel pipe into the channel wall including installation of a davit crane, guide rail and other associated improvements.
Removal of the existing Aeration Blower No. 1, installation of a new jockey blower in the Blower Building and other associate improvements.
Demolition of existing sodium hydroxide (caustic) tank and installation of a new double-wall tank and tank pad and other associate improvements.
Injection grout repair of 36” duct air piping located in the Digester Day Tank.
Partial demolition and retrofit of a 72-inch corrugated metal pipe riser located at Outfall #2.
Electrical system and Instrumentation & Control related items associated with the work as described above and as shown in the Contract Documents.
Also included in the scope of work as a bid alternate is the replacement of the solids building polymer cone-bottom tank and tank stand.
The estimated cost of construction for the Base Bid is $2,900,000.
The estimated cost of construction for the Bid Alternate is $294,000.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time, on January 28, 2025 at 1515 Soscol Ferry Road, Napa CA. A site visit will be conducted immediately after the pre-bid conference. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and subsequent site visit is mandatory for all contractors submitting a bid. Failure to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will make any bid submitted by Bidder unresponsive and will be rejected. Supplemental site visits may be scheduled during the week of February 3, 2025 by contacting rcastillo@napasan.com. Supplemental site visits must be scheduled at least 2 business days in advance.
The plans provided will be a half sized 11 x 17 copy and if a bidder wants a full sized copy instead they will need to pay an additional price. Please call 707-745-3593 to ask if that is the case.
