“Solano County invites bids from qualified design-build entities to provide comprehensive design-build services for two distinct projects. The contract will be awarded to the Contractor submitting the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Please note that this contract has been significantly scaled down from the contract of the same name that was previously advertised.
The Rio Vista Corporation Yard Phase 2 is a design-build project in Rio Vista, CA. The project design is 75% complete and will require the Contractor to finalize site plans, specifications, and quantity estimates. The Contractor will also be responsible for electrical calculations, geotechnical borings and reports, structural calculations, and permit submissions. Construction will include the demolition of an existing metal building, foundation work, fabrication and erection of a prefabricated metal building, asphalt paving, HAZMAT testing, utility work, and site grading.
The Department of Information Technology (DOIT) Benicia Shelter project design is complete, and no design services are required for this project. The DOIT Benicia Shelter Project in Benicia, CA includes site preparation, utility work, grading, placement of a pre-purchased 85,000 lb equipment shelter, and removal of the existing modular building and foundation.”
The estimated cost of the project is $2,600,000.
The County will perform two site visits for interested Design-Build entities of both sites on April 3rd, 2025 and April 24th, 2025 beginning at 10:00 am (PDT) at the Rio Vista site location. The sites are available for inspection at the convenience of the Design-Build entities. The site visits are not mandatory, and attendance will not be taken. If special access is required to any building or portion of the site, submit a written request to the official project email address in this Notice to Bidders. Arrangements must be made sufficiently in advance of that date in order to be accommodated.
